DR. INÊS GUEDES

DDS, MSc (TMD), MSc (Ortho), FRCD(C)

Dr. Guedes acquired her orthodontics specialist designation and Masters degree at the University of Manitoba. This 3-year residency program provides thousands of hours of teaching and clinical work solely dedicated to the practice of the orthodontic specialty. This includes treatment with fixed appliances (braces), clear aligners (Invisalign), orthodontic treatment combined with jaw surgery (orthognathic surgery), and early orthodontic treatment with the use of fixed or removable appliances in younger children.

Dr. Guedes also has a Master of Science in TMJ disorders and orofacial pain from the University of Alberta. A most enriching experience – this dual residency and Masters Degree program provided knowledge and skills to diagnose and treat TMJ disorders and orofacial pain.

Dr. Guedes has had the opportunity to teach as a lecturer and clinical instructor in the School of Dentistry at the University of Alberta.
